July Journeys part I

On July 3 we drove all the way to Spencer's M&D's house in northwestern NM. We had planned on stopping for the night at my mom's but since Addie was asleep and the drivers were awake we decided we might as well keep chugging.

Addie got to see her first fireworks, which she was thoroughly enjoying right up to the point where the sprinklers came on on the school lawn we were watching from. NM fireworks were interesting because everyone was shooting off their own big fireworks around the entire town so you're not real sure where the real show is.

Addie also got to play in the irrigation w/ Papa J. which she obviously enjoyed.

Spencer went home the following Monday and Addie and I stayed for another week. Addie loves playing outside but here at home she pretty much won't step out the door once the heat hits her unless there's water involved. Anyway she loved playing in their huge sand box/ play equipment and nice big lawn and trampoline w/ her cousin Jackson. Spencer's mom took us to the zoo in Albuquerque one day, which was fun. We went to Kung Fu Panda, which was really cute but Addie was naughty in. The rest of the time she just played and I just read all 3 Twilight books plus a kind of OK one called Austenland. She had her own room where she slept really well and she had a buddy to play with and Spencer's mom fixed yummy stuff to eat so it was pretty much heaven.

That's great that you love going to visit the in-laws! I loved my visits to Nana and Grandpa Christopher's as well. I know what you mean about not being able to tell where the real show was. When we lived in NM everyone and their dog had rockets!!! We had to stomp out fires from those "fire" works!!! sorta scarry!
Love hearing your news!
Love you,
Twi

Addie's laugh is sooo cute! It looks like she loves the water, Preston does too!
